The Neuberger Kulturtage Masterclass 2024 welcomes back Maighréad McCrann (violin) and Julian Arp (cello) as Professors, who will be joined by their esteemed colleague Rachel Roberts with a masterclass for viola.
This year, following the resounding success of 2023, there will be a focus on chamber music to supplement and enhance the students‘ individual tuition, placing them in various ensemble configurations and giving them the opportunity to make music with both their peers and their professors. In addition to lessons and chamber music, the masterclass aims to approach the work of a musician as a multidimensional undertaking.
To this end, we are very excited to have Alexandra Preucil join the team for the first time. She will offer guidance on the many elements of pursuing an orchestral career, from application skills to studying audition excerpts and exploring the physical and psychological preparation needed to perform your best under pressure.
The Masterclass also offers regular yoga sessions under the tutelage of Romana Schwaiger, focusing on maintaining balance and groundedness of both the body and the mind.
